Fine cutwork textiles are a typical Rajasthani handicraft, a celebration of light and shadow. Hand cut cotton is layered over either cotton or organza and then embroidered with thousands of delicate stitches to create a one of a kind table cover you'll surely pass from generation to generation.
We also love using these heirloom quality cotton creations as curtains, a perfect way to highlight the interplay of shadow and light.

This is special because...
Cutwork craft involves the unique artistic expression of the creator, and motifs range from geometric compositions to naturalistic renderings of animals and narrative scenes. To create these intricate cloths, a design is carved into a wood block, and then laid out across raw cotton, serving as a cutting template for dexterous hands. Once cut, it is carefully fused to a cotton or organza backing by hand, using no more than thread. The stylistic mark of each embroiderer is present on every textile. As such, please expect pattern variation on your one-of-a-kind piece.
